Costa Rica

I'll be honest--I actually contemplated NOT taking my camera on my family vacation to Costa Rica.  We were going to be moving around a lot, doing lots of eco-tourism, and, frankly, I'm not a landscape/nature/wildlife photographer. Not even a little bit. But I snapped out of it, realized that if I didn't bring my camera I'd see about a thousand different moments that I'd wish I had my camera for.  And, even though I was really trying to avoid sloths, I didn't want to miss the opportunity of preserving that horrifying moment.  I didn't spend the entire time photographing, just enough to remember some of the highlights. I wish I would have documented all the times we got lost traveling gravel roads in search of, "a real gem--an undiscovered town"  or "a hidden getaway" that Lonely Planet highlighted. I have a feeling the folks at Lonely Planet will be receiving a letter sometime soon...

My sister loves the color purple.  If you look closely, you might be able to glimpse her carefully matched eye shadow...

My mom at the Teatro Nacional. She's figuring out how to use the new "emergency" camera she bought at the airport.  Also, I want to photograph a couple here. Please get married in Costa Rica and bring me with. There's a delicious churro stand right around the corner. Bonus.
